Sorry to say, but there is no rain proof solution for satellite, they do sell 24 inch & 30 inch satellite dishes for this purpose, I bought a 24 inch heated dish when I had Dish Network and saw no big change when it came to rain fade, I still lost my signal and if it helped it wasn't noticeable. Cloud fade can also be a problem that is common with Dish Network, Directv, and other DBS. Sometimes the satellite signal will be lost with heavy cloud cover even without rain. Cloud fade or rain fade can make your satellite viewing experience unbearable! Cable TV is immune to these problems, experience what Cable TV has to offer and put on a happy face.
